3. Health & safety (read before use)

• Whitening is cosmetic and not medical treatment. Results vary by individual.
• Consult your dentist to determine if whitening is appropriate and how often to use it. Overuse may cause irritation or sensitivity.
• Do not use if you are under 18, pregnant or nursing unless your dentist approves, or if you have active oral disease, severe sensitivity, exposed roots, untreated caries, recent oral surgery, or known allergies to any ingredient.
• Whitening does not change the color of restorations (veneers, crowns, fillings, bridges).
• Follow all instructions on packaging. Discontinue use and consult a dentist if irritation persists.
• Products are manufactured in the USA in FDA-registered facilities and follow GMP/ISO-aligned processes. No claim of FDA approval is made.

6. Shipping, risk of loss & delivery issues

• We ship domestically and internationally via third-party carriers.
• Risk of loss transfers at carrier scan confirming delivery to the address you provided.
• Ensure your shipping address is accurate; we can’t reroute after fulfillment.
• International delivery times vary and may be impacted by customs clearance.
• If a parcel is delayed, lost, or stolen after carrier confirmation, please contact the carrier first. We’ll reasonably assist but are not the carrier.

7. Returns & refunds

Because our Products are sealed personal-care/health items, all sales are final once shipped, except where required by law or for verified defects (see §8).
• Massachusetts & U.S.: Your rights under implied warranties and applicable consumer laws (e.g., UCC; Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 93A) apply and are not disclaimed.
• EU/UK customers: You generally have a 14-day cooling-off period for distance sales. However, due to health protection and hygiene rules, returns are only accepted if the Product is unopened, sealed, and resalable. Once unsealed, the right of withdrawal no longer applies. You are responsible for return shipping.

8. Defective or incorrect items (how to claim)

If you receive a defective, damaged in transit, or incorrect item:
1. Email info@selfish.vip within 7 days of delivery with your order number, photos, and a description of the issue.
2. We may provide troubleshooting steps or request additional information/return.
3. If verified, we will, at our option and consistent with applicable law: replace, repair, or refund the defective/incorrect item (refunds exclude original shipping unless required by law).
4. Please retain the Product and packaging until we confirm the next steps.
Note: Claims based solely on dissatisfaction with whitening “degree of result” (without a manufacturing defect) are not defects; results vary by user, enamel condition, prior staining, and routine.

12. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:
• The Site and Products are provided “as is” and “as available.”
• We disclaim all non-mandatory warranties, express or implied, except those that cannot be disclaimed under applicable law (including U.S. implied warranties of merchantability and fitness where required).
• Selfish will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for losses of profits, data, or goodwill.
• Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to the Products or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the Product giving rise to the claim (or USD $100, whichever is greater), except where a higher limit is mandated by law.
